FAQ Hardwood Flooring FAQs for Claycomo Homeowners
How much does hardwood flooring cost in Claycomo?
Every project is priced based on square footage, the shape your existing floors are in, and whether you need installation, replacement, or refinishing. We’ll walk your Claycomo home in person and send a clear, written estimate afterward, no surprise costs once work begins.
Claycomo is such a small village, do you actually service homes here?
Yes. Claycomo covers roughly a square mile with about 1,300 residents, but it’s a regular part of our Clay County service area. We’re just as likely to be working a job near the Ford plant as we are across the county line in Gladstone or North Kansas City.
Can you work around shift schedules for Ford plant families?
Many Claycomo households work rotating shifts at the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant, so we’re used to being flexible with walkthrough times and keeping communication clear by phone or text when your schedule doesn’t fit a typical 9-to-5.
My house was built in the early 1960s. Is the original hardwood worth saving?
Often, yes. A lot of Claycomo’s homes date to right around the era the Ford plant expanded, and original oak from that period usually holds up well under carpet or an old finish. We’ll assess it honestly and tell you whether refinishing makes more sense than replacing.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
Yes. Every installation and refinishing job we complete is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty.
Is JRK Flooring licensed and certified?
Yes. We’re a Certified Bona Craftsman and NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) Member, with 15+ years serving Clay County homeowners, including Claycomo.
